Turck’s inductive sensors are used in some of the harshest industrial environments and
applications such as welding, stamping, and mobile vehicle manufacturing.

Inductive Sensors for Welding

High temps? Molten metal? Weld slag? Don’t let your sensors fail you.

Inductive Sensors used for Rigorous Welding EnvironmentsInductive sensors used for detection and error-proofing during welding need to be able to stand up to extremely harsh environments or have to be continually replaced, which adds maintenance time and cost.

Get the Guide: Inductive sensors that withstand welding applications

Inductive sensors that withstand welding applicationsImprove automation in weld cells – choose the correct inductive sensor for the application to reduce failure
and downtime. Not all sensors are built to withstand this tough environment.

Missing Nuts? Splatter build-up? Don’t let your inductive sensors fail you.

Reliably detect the presence or absence of a nut welded to metal parts and materials and reduce defects or costly production mistakes. Turck’s rugged inductive weld nut sensors provide a long service life – even in harsh welding applications.

• Easily detect nuts or collars from M5 to M20, or up to 24 mm diameter
• An economical alternative to more expensive optical or vision-based systems
• Low-profile designs available for compact applications

Inductive Sensors for Stamping

Get Simple Tips to Improve Die Protection

Inductive sensors for cost-effective die protectionEffective die protection can prevent damage and reduce costs. There are several methods of die protection, but for high-speed, non-contact applications, one method makes more sense.

For Turck's new range of 8 mm barrel inductive proximity sensors, the technology of the ferrite core sensors has evolved, increasing the sensing range by up to 50 percent.

  • This allows flush mounted solutions to be offered with an extended sensing range of 3 mm (as well as with the conventional sensing range of 2 mm).
  • The non-flush sensors are likewise available with a 3 or 5 mm sensing range.
  • Newly developed sensor electronics make it possible for Turck to produce devices with an ultra-short 15 mm design.

Modular construction includes over 100 variants (enabling creativity in design)

  • Flush or non-flush mounting
  • Four thread lengths:  15, 22, 30 40 mm
  • M8 or M12 connector, 2 or 7 m cable length
  • Can be ordered with a 3- or 4-wire connection as NC or changeover contacts
  • Normally closed or complementary output function with PNP or NPN transistor stage

The sensors with a cable outlet are provided with a cable suitable for E-chain use, and a semi-transparent LED ring at the sensor end, which shows the sensing state from any viewing angle.

The sensors are IP67 rated, and have an operating temperature of -25 °C to 70 °C.
