SIMATIC ET 200eco PN I/O you can depend on in any environment

SIMATIC ET 200eco PN – I/O

The ET 200eco PN is a robust stand-alone block I/O system for use outside of the control cabinet in both harsh environments (indoors or outdoors) and in hazardous locations.

The ET 200eco PN offers:

  • MultiFieldbus communication with Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and ModbusTCP available all on the same hardware device
  • Failsafe and standard variants in the same product family (no add-ons required)
  • IO-Link masters
  • IP65/67/69K rated variations

... and more.

SIMATIC ET 200eco PN - System properties

SIMATIC ET 200eco PN offers you a particularly rugged I/O solution in IP 65/67 and IP69K. The special zinc pressurized housing guarantees you the ideal protection, even in challenging environmental conditions and temperatures from -40° to +60°C.

SIMATIC ET 200eco PN is particularly compact.

Thanks to the practical housing form, the devices can be mounted head-on or rotated 90 degrees to the side so that you can make optimum use of your installation space.

The zinc pressurized housing in IP65/67 and IP69K is suitable for use under especially challenging ambient conditions and temperatures of -40 °C to +60 °C. The maximum resistance to vibrations, dust, oil and moisture ensures long service life of the products.

Thanks to the integrated 2-port switch, you configure your solution flexibly and integrate it in line topologies. The M12-L coded power connectors simplify the power supply concept and ensure a higher current-carrying capability as well as significantly greater cable lengths in the field.

The entire ET 200eco PN M12-L family is deisgned for protection class IP69K. This means that the decentralized peripherals can also be used in areas and applications where cleaning with high-pressure cleaners, steam jets and hot water is required.

The I/O devices of the SIMATIC ET 200eco PN of the new generation can be operated in isochronous mode in PROFINET IRT networks. This enables more deterministics and thus better machine performance.

The "Shared Device" function allows you to share channels of an I/O device between two IO Controllers, thus permitting flexible automation concepts.

Thanks to Internal Module Shared Input (MSI) and Internal Module Shared Output (MSO), multiple controllers can simultaneously and independently read the current switching status of the inputs or outputs of a SIMATIC ET 200eco PN peripheral device.

Digital outputs of the ET 200ecoPN M12-L can be switched off in a safety-related manner within a supply line. This provides additional flexibility for the integration of safety applications to SIL CL 2 or Cat 3/PL. Since only the outputs are shut down, diagnostics is still possible.

IO-Link masters only switch off the additional load supply in a safety-related manner. Communication is thereby still ensured.

The SIMATIC ET 200eco PN M12-L modules can be used in redundant systems such as the high availability SIMATIC S7-1500R/H ring system, for example in tunnel applications.

Thanks to the MultiFieldbus function, the SIMATIC ET 200eco PN M12-L can be used in applications in which previously only Modbus TCP or EtherNet/IP was used. With SIMATIC ET 200eco PN M12-L, we enable the direct integration of IP65/67 and IP69K modules in Ethernet-based fieldbuses for connection of controllers from various manufacturers.
