Standardization is a basis for digitalization

What does standardization in the TIA Portal mean for machine development? The standardization process is divided into four stages:

The Automation Markup Language (AML) enables the time-saving exchange of hardware data between the TIA Selection Tool, ECAD for electrical planning, and the TIA Portal for engineering.

By utilizing tools like the Openness Scripter or the TIA Portal Openness Configurator, you can automatically generate parts of the PLC code and display, saving you valuable engineering time. 


Using TIA Portal and S7-PLCSIM Advanced, you can simulate and test the PLC program and rectify any errors. The automation logic and behavior models of the machine can be simulated and optimized using SIMIT, NX MCD, and S7-PLCMSIM Advanced.
