Customers Come Together to Serve Community
What we do at IES isn't just about the latest technologies and product solutions we get to deliver each day. It's really about the people and the communities we get to serve.
We love our customers! And we wanted to share a short story about a couple of our customers coming together to make a difference...
Our team has always enjoyed working with the people at CMC Steel in Durant, Oklahoma. But, after visiting their site during the holidays and seeing all the food donations stacked up in the lobby, they were inspired.
The donations collected by CMC Steel's annual food drive go to the United Way to help restock the shelves at local food pantries. And apparently, thanks to a little friendly competition between departments, the amount of cans and other food donations collected each year continues to grow.
The IES team was even motivated to make their own contributions and decided to look into the opportunity to purchase specially priced canned goods from our customers at Campbell's. Excited about a chance to stretch their dollars and to be able to contribute even more, our friends at CMC Steel asked about the possibility of making a special purchase from Campbell's as well. Instead, when Campbell's heard about the food drive, and the ability to help fill food pantries, they instead donated a pallet of their iconic tomato soup, as well a pallet of their popular Prego spaghetti sauce.
So, during a routine parts delivery to Campbell's Soup and Silgan Containers, a member of the IES team pulling his own trailer was able to load up both pallets and deliver them from the Campbell's plant in Paris, Texas to the CMC Steel site in Durant, Oklahoma, where they will soon be distributed to those in need.
We couldn't be prouder to get to partner with community-minded companies and great people like these every day!
