Weld Water Control System: Prevent Welder Overheating

Wedl Water Control System

Turck's new Weld Water Control System improves your ability to monitor the robotic welding process and protect the welder from overheating with a pre-engineered Weld Water Monitoring System.

This easy-to-integrate station uses IO-Link to help you gain more insight with remote monitoring of process parameters and application status.

Turck's Weld Water Control System consists of:

  • a water valve.
  • a pneumatic regulator.
  • a pressure switch.
  • an IO-Link block.

Communication via IO-Link offers improved monitoring and control due to its ability to track and monitor operations remotely.

  • Helps prevent the welder from overheating
  • Uses IO-Link to provide fast, remote monitoring of the station via Ethernet
  • Provides protection from overheating
  • Several pre-engineered variants are available

By preventing welding systems from overheating, the Weld Water Control System ensures less damage to machines and reduces downtime and maintenance.

Features & Benefits

The system features rugged components designed for the harsh environments found in welding applications. An auto water shut-off with retract unit prevents excessive water spillage during weld tip change. In addition, manual flow adjustment ensures easy setup and commissioning.

  1. Integrates IO w/ features for monitoring temperature, flow rate of water or coolant material to and from the welding station.
  2. Prevents leakage from happening at the welding tip by creating a negative vacuum via the water retract block.
  3. Offers manual shutoff at the station via the Water Controller for routine maintenance.
