Series 342A Stainless Steel Filter/Regulator from ASCO

ASCO Series 342A Stainless Steel Filter/Regulator

Designed to meet the demands of harsh process environments, the ASCO Series 342A provides high flow rates with precise pressure regulation to actuators and ensures clean, dry media to eliminate contamination to downstream devices. Available sizes now include compact ¼” and high flow ¼” through 1”

Key Industries & Applications

The Series 342A stainless steel filter/regulators from ASCO are designed to meet the demands of harsh process environments in the following industries:

  • Oil and Gas exploration
  • Refining
  • Water & Waste Water treatment
  • Chemical
  • Food & Beverage (caustic washdown)

Features & Benefits

  • Heavy duty stainless steel
    • Internal and external parts are suitable for long service life in corrosive environments

  • High flow design
    • Molded, reinforced diaphragm allows for optimized flow paths and increased flow rates
      • 49 SCFM for compact ¼”
      • 300 SCFM for high flow ¾”
      • 335 SCFM for high flow 1”

(Values shown above are @ 90 PSI max inlet pressure and 14 PSI pressure drop; 25 micron element for ¼” and 40 micron element for ¾” and 1”)

  • Comprehensive certifications
    • NACE compliant option for sour gas applications
    • Ingress Protection: IP65
    • ATEX (94/9/EC): non-electrical
      • II 2GD IIC T100°C (T5 at 80³C)
      • II 2GD IIC T185°C (T6 at 75³C)
    • IEC 61508 Functional Safety SIL 2

  • Dual pressure gauge ports for flexible installation
    • Unit can be configured to Left In - Right Out or Right In - Left out

  • Auto Drain option for automatic dispensing of condensate (suffix AN)

  • Laser etched nameplate will not fade or peel off

In addition to the new pipe sizes and options, the existing high flow ¼” and ½” versions of the Series 342A stainless steel filter/regulators now feature a Quick Relief option (suffix K):

  • Allows downstream pressure to exhaust through inlet port when supply pressure is lost or decreases below the output pressure
  • Prevents trapped pressure from locking actuator in last position
